Which notifications are you talking about?
Right now you cannot get mails when a forum thread is updated.

Sorry to say, notifications are not activated within the portal.

I seems that the Email notifications are now working, but you need to activate them with edit notification options in your user control panel.

Never mind, it seems not to work anymore.
