3.18 license in 3.16

please let know if V3.18 license will work with V3.16 software WinCC OA?

No, a license issued for 3.18 using a CodeMeter Ticket will only work in 3.17 or 3.18.
For 3.16 you need a WinCC OA shield file.

Hi there!
Let me ask here a similar question.
I have new update licenses in version 3.19 and the project is still in 3.17. Will this work flawlessly?
And if yes, will this always be possible to use a 'higher' license like 3.25 for a project down at 3.17, where the new license system started?
Or only the last two or three versions?
I found nothing about that in documentation.

Since the 3.17 a new license method is used. Previously, for example, you could run a 3.12 with a 3.16 license.

Normally a license issued for a newer version works with an older version as long as the same license technology is used. There is no guarantee for it as we do not know what in future will change.
As there are many options, also time limited ones and upgrade keywords possibly some functionality will not work longer than the expire date set in the license.
