| 4. PVSS II as the new facilities control platform for the famous Gotthard tunnel route in Switzerland. |
| It's official! At the beginning of 2002, the Swiss cantons of Uri, Nidwalden and Tessin awarded the contract for one of the largest Swiss road traffic projects of recent years: implementation of the new facilities control platform (FCP) for the A2 and A4 highways. The successful bidder consortium was Ascom Systec and RWE Solutions Austria, with the ETM company as Subcontractor. |

| 5. ETM traffic day |
| On December 3rd the first Austrian Traffic day hosted by ETM took place in the picturesque ambience of the Schlosshotel Fuschl. Mr. Rudolf Hörhan, supreme tunnel inspector of the Austrian Ministry of Traffic, Innovation and Technology moderated the presentations and discussions among more than 100 traffic experts from Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Emphasis was put on tunnel security and tunnel control systems, in particular on several large scale projects, such as Plabutsch-, Semmering-, Rennsteig and the St. Gotthard tunnel. |
